No Measurement Equals No Management
Quantifying product carbon emissions will always be a top priority in carbon emissions management. Only by clearly understanding the true status of product carbon emissions, you can take targeted measures to reduce emissions.
The Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) refers to the total greenhouse gas emissions of a product throughout its entire lifecycle (see the schematic on the right), typically expressed in carbon dioxide equivalents (CO₂e). By conducting a Product Carbon Footprint assessment, you can accurately quantify the greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire lifecycle of a product. This helps identify the primary sources of carbon emissions for the product, enabling optimization of decarbonization processes and supplier management.
Based on the features of the product and the specific traits of the printing industry, SPS offers customers various scopes of product carbon footprint accounting services, such as cradle-to-gate and cradle-to-grave. We will build relative product accounting models to achieve carbon tracking based on customer's needs and objectives.
01
Define the relevant boundaries of the product/service, understand detailed information about the product/service at different lifecycle stages (raw materials, production and processing, transportation and distribution, usage, disposal), and coordinate and define departmental roles and responsibilities.
02
Support internal data collection within the enterprise, verify the data through communication, and conduct interviews and data collection discussions with relevant departments.
03
Establish a calculation model based on existing data to obtain the product carbon footprint project results.
04
Based on the product type and data results, complete the report compilation, and analyze and discuss the data results.
05
Issue certificates and labels based on the product carbon footprint results and report.

For products, the carbon footprint is similar to its growth experience. Only through participating in and understanding its production process , we can accurately account for the carbon footprint of products.
